Not one of the Chronicle's great sportswriters...

...but good enough to become an employee of a division of the New York Times, writing about something related to sports. I get paid by the page view, so even if you don't give a crap about sports cards, if you ever want me to be the one to loan money on future DudeManias in Vegas, click early and often!

Okay, I just clicked on each story at home, and at work! So is this the new job you alluded to? How often do you write? The dudes need more details.

This really is an ingenous vehicle to give Tylwalk money without really having to do anything...

Unfortunately, I work all day and don't have time to log onto the Internet

I think we need to get a computer program set up that constantly "hits" Tylwalk sites... Next summer we'll all be at the WSOP courtesy of Nick's buy-in!

Yes, this is the new job. And in case Weitao was being serious and not joking (possible but not likely), it is actually work. I have to do at least three blog entries and one full length article per week, plus add links to off-site content, plus moderate the forum. So not strenuous work, but a job nonetheless.

It will allow me to quit K*B, but not Hersheypark, at least not right away. If I can attract an audience over time, write some stuff that collectors actually read, it could definitely evolve into a full time gig in a year or two.

It helps that I already made contacts with the card companies from the articles I did for Beckett a few years ago. They are going to hook me up with new products to review, press releases, etc.
