Meet the New Cowboys Coach

ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Jerry Jones is set to hire Wade Phillips (right)
to be the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys... Funny, Phillips does seem to bear a striking resemblance to some of his predecessors, namely, Chan Gailey and Dave Campo.

Sad but true. I wanted Norv. At least then if we lose, you still feel like it's your Cowboys with Turner and Garrett running the ship. I'm tired of these rent-a-coaches who aren't part of the tradition. Unless we win.

Unless he wins the Super Bowl, this is likely a temporary job. Jones is either grooming Garrett or waiting for Cowher to come back. In the meantime, his defense will continue to get better, especially with the number of potential superstars on the squad.

Ha - it would be funny to hire Phillips as the "interim head coach."
