Touchdown for Teemu!

Amid the blistering boos raining down upon teammate Scott Pronger from the Red Wings faithful, Teemu Selanne, the long-time face of the Ducks franchise, created some truly wonderous symphony with this beautiful shot past a sprawling Dom Hasek in OT!! One lifeline left Franchise!

I just realized that I didn't quite rub it in enough. I'd like to point out how spot on my previous analysis was even though I didn't watch a minute of regular season hockey this year. Andy McDonald, who I highlighted earlier in the series, made the critical play on the game winning goal by causing the turnover; and then my favorite Finnish hockey player of all time comes through in the clutch, just like I knew he would. In the end, the Ducks were who I thought were!

Yes, but if you watched the whole game, you'd know that...

* McDonald did basically nothing the whole game, and was repeatedly getting bashed by the announcers for being the main cause of Teemu's lack of production.

* The Red Wings outplayed the Ducks the entire game, and were saved mostly by Giguere standing on his head and some fortunate bounces.

But that's hockey, especially at playoff time. I think the Wings can win Game 6 at Anaheim, and then all bets are off for Game 7...

I was trying to watch the whole game, but it was apparently preempted by post-Preakness coverage of horses walking around with their trainers
