Silence from the Houston contingent?

Has fantasy football analysis distracted you from the rare and unceremonious dumping of a manager and GM in the same day, just two years after reaching the World Series? Did the men who brought Mike Lamb in to lead them to playoff glory deserve such treatment? Or were they lucky to last this long with the smoke and mirrors of Clemens and Pettite allowing everyone to overlook a constantly-weak offense?

Obviously, Purp and Garner should have been fired a while ago. They're both good people, but incompetent.

I think Purp deserved to be fired more than Garner, but as Vic follows the team more closely I will go with his take.

It's frustrating when your team goes the rent-a-player route to make a run at a title, then comes up short, because what you have left is... this. Undude, beware of this situation if the Celtics can't win a ring in the next two or three seasons...
