Thanks for the memories No. 7!

Your last AB said everything anyone ever needed to know about your career - one hopper to third, you hustled all the way down the line and was beaten by a step... Houston will never see anyone else like you; but fortunately, Cooperstown will.

You mean a routine ground out epitomized his career?

No. The reference is, of course, to the fact that Biggio hustled and played the game the right way every second that he was between the white lines. In the 20 years that I've watched the Astros, I've never seen Biggio not run out a routine grounder or a pop-up - that is probably the ultimate compliment you can pay a player.

In this day and age, to watch a Hall-of-Famer play his entire career with one organization is quite remarkable. I am thankful to have watched someone who's done it the right way - on and off the field - for the Houston Astros organization from his Major League debut when I first started watching baseball, to now.

But I thought 20 years ago you were watching Dale Mohorcic and Cecil Espy?
