A Huge Day for Duke Football

First the good news: Airborne has landed a top-10, 4-star quarterback. Cutcliffe snagged Sean Renfree, a very impressive "get" for the new coach.

Now the bad: DudeSpin favorite Eron Riley was arrested along with another Duke footballer, Austin Kelly, after an altercation at a 9th Street nightclub. It will be interesting to see how the new coach handles this situation. Riley, for those not in the know, is by far Thad's favorite and most athletic target.

Eron Riley is a Heisman candidate. Rafer Alston was also arrested based on made up accusations in the offseason. He has now returned to his proper place as one of the top 5 PGs in the western conference

I'm confused by the need to explain who Eron Riley is, as if the world doesn't already know! But at least it was good timing, and happened in the offseason. Just suspend him for the first practice of the spring and then back to work.

Thanks for the QB update! I wonder what Thad thinks -- he may have competition his senior year.

And Dude, let's hope Eron far surpasses a mediocre PG averaging 11 points and 5 assists for a lottery-bound team.
