Incredible... amazing... I don't really have words to describe it. More than anything, it restores a lot of the faith I had lost in my fellow citizens. Now we can't afford to squander this opportunity. And by we, I mean not only Democrats, but all Americans.

Well said. I could not agree more.
It was nice to wake up this morning and realize it wasn't just a dream, that the American people actually did the right thing.

A friend of mine emailed me to say
"i can say now, for the first time in a long time, that I am proud to say 'I am an American.'"

I like the Onion's take it on though

"Nation Finally Sh*tty[for the dudespin kids out there] Enough To Make Social Progress"

They still haven't called NC yet.

North Carolina to Obama!

You know what's odd, is I just got on the internet and am not sure where to go. No polls, no analysis, and until the "behind the scenes" stories on the campaigns come out soon, I'm kind of at a loss.

Did you see Carolina called Dude? (well besides me calling it at 12:48 am) I keep looking at cnn/msnbc et all and they refuse to turn it blue even though Obama clearly has a 13k vote advantage. (so Head Dude I guess I'm still checking polls) Darn it I want NC Blue, though it doesn't matter in the larger picture.

I heard Air America called NC for Obama... Perhaps it's not the most reliable source.

NC'S BLUE!!!
NC'S BLUE!!!
(though I suppose there are no red or blue states anymore right?)

No. That one of the most "liberal" states in the union could pass the positively absurd measure that was Proposition 8 in California convinced me that states are made up of people, who vote in incomprehensible ways.

California is a strange state from a political standpoint.

Man, the embers from Obama's stunning victory are barely cool and Dudespin has already bumped his image for Cutcliffe. I guess it really is about moving forward and not looking back.

I figure it's time to bring DudeSpin back to its roots -- Duke enters the home stretch today seeking its first bowl in 14 seasons, so we'll let Obama quietly pick his cabinet, and return to where we began.

Duke in a bowl game?
YES WE CAN!

Thanks head dude for returning us to our roots.

in the spirit of bipartisanship compromise, I have added a picture of the President and Vice-President elect on the sidebar.
