Melo-drama in Denver

While the Committee has grown to expect key injuries to the Rockets, last night's broken hand in Denver was a surprise. With Anthony now out 3-4 weeks, it comes at a particularly inopportune time for the Nuggets just as they were surging up the standings. With 6 of their next 8 opponents being Miami, Detroit, Dallas, Phoenix, Orlando, and Utah, and a stumbling Houston thrown in for good measure, Denver will have a tough time maintaining their current pace.

On the bright side, this should mean more playing time for surprise starter Dahntay Jones. And by surprise, I mean that I thought he was out of the Association a few years ago.

can Ricky Price be too far behind?

It never ceases to amaze. Our two best players since 2002, Redick and Shelden, can't find the court, while Duhon is entrenched as a starting point guard (albeit with a bad team) and Dahntay somehow sticks around.

I'm temporarily ending my self-imposed exile so I can comment/post for two things. The first probably only appeals/applies to about a 1/3 of the Dudespin junta.

1. Will there be a "better see a movie" post/review for Notorious? (not the classic Hitchcock film of '46 with Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant, but the 2009 movie about the life of Biggie Smalls)

I believe it "drops" next week, and am curious whether it would be time well spent. (and whether anyone plans to see it)

2. In honor of the next Dudemania I came across this lovely site of top 5 un-scripted pro-wrestling moments.

I remember the Jake-the-snake moment.

3. Ok I said only 2 things but you gotta love a Ricky Price reference!

Redick and Shelden were our two best college players. They are bad NBA players, especially Shelden.

Just like good college football players don't always become good NFL players, so it is with hoops as well.

But the news out today is Shelden proved himself adept off the court -- Candace Parker is pregnant!
